Dear Students,

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences will conduct all courses in the upcoming academic year 2021-2022 in face-to-face (in class) mode except the following courses.
Please note that these hybrid models may be changed after registration is completed, depending on the number of students in the sections.

MATH101 – Calculus I
If the number of students is more than 50 students in one of the sections of MATH101, say section_1, the aforementioned section will be taught in a hybrid fashion as follows:
1. At the beginning of the semester, section_1 will be divided into two sub-sections say sub1.1 and sub1.2.
2. Each subsection must be on campus every other week. That is, one sub-section say sub_1.1 would be on campus and the other at home following the course synchronically online. Next week sub1.2 would be on campus and the other at home.
Otherwise, the course will be taught in a face-to-face fashion.
Tutorials will be fully on campus.

CS103 – Introduction to Programming
We expect around 100 students for CS103 class. There will be 2 sections, 50 students for each. Teaching will be hybrid, it means we will divide each section into 2 parts. 25 of the students will be in class and other 25 of them will be online. And other week students who were online previous week will be in class and students who were in class will be online. This shifts will continue like that.
Otherwise, the course will be taught in a face-to-face fashion.
Tutorials will be fully on campus.

MATH203 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics
One section of the MATH203 will be offered hybrid in case the number of registered students is more than 50. In that case, the students will be rotated every week on campus and at home.
Tutorials for both sections will be fully on campus.

ENS101 - Introduction to Engineering
Will be offered in hybrid mode in case the number of registered students is more than 50. In that case, the students will be rotated every week on campus and at home.

SE322 - Software Requirements Analysis
The teaching mode of this course will depend on number of registered students. Students will be informed soon.
The following courses will be held in hybrid mode. Further information will be provided by the Program Coordinator and the course instructors;
 CS307 Operating Systems
 CS313 Theory of Computation
 CS420 Network Programming
 CS427 Computer and Network Security
 EE202 Electrical circuits II
 EE322 Power Systems
 EE201 Analogue electronics I

For each FENS course, an MS Team will be made at the beginning of the semester. This will be used to share course material and any information related to course delivery.
Please be aware that should the situation with regards to COVID change teaching methods may alter if circumstances dictate.
